Carolyn is currently the Church Administrator.  She has been employed at Bluefield First United Methodist Church since 2009.  She retired from Tazewell County Schools in July of 2004 after 37 years of service. She also worked for Foot Pain Associates for 2 years.  She resides in Bluefield, Virginia.  Carolyn loves working with her church family.
 
Her favorite quote is “The Best Things in Life are Not Things.”



Director of Music/Organist

Bill is beginning his 37th year as Director of Music and Organist at Bluefield First.  He is a native of Bluefield and a graduate of Concord College.  Bill has been employed by Tazewell County Public Schools as a choral music teacher for 33 years serving Graham Intermediate, Dudley Primary, and Abbs Valley.  He is married to the former Cindy Yost who is a kindergarten teacher at Springville Elementary.  They enjoy spending time with their seven nieces and nephews and following their activities.  Bill is grateful to serve the Lord and witness his faith through the music ministry of the church.  




Worship Coordinator

We welcome to our staff our new Worship Coordinator, Jack Goins.  Jack has a life-long passion for music and has been involved in church music as well as musical groups in our community.  He is bringing a new energy and vision to our Chancel Choir and he invites anyone who would like to sing for God's glory to contact him and sign up.  Choir practice is Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. in the choir room!  Jack has been a part of First Church for several years, working with our youth group, from which he retired in 2013.  He is married to Raye Goins, and has three adult children.  Welcome Jack back to our staff!

Custodian

Wade Dillon

We welcome Wade Dillon to our staff as custodian.  Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Wade grew up in Bluefield, West Virginia and has worked for the town of Bluefield, Virginia.  He is employed currently at Wal-Mart as well as holding the position here.

This laid back service is great for early birds or those who work on Sundays. Come as you are and start your day/week with God’s word.
FELLOWSHIP & LITE BREAKFAST
9:30 AM
Grab & Go or Gather around. Enjoy a cup of coffee, specialty coffee, hot chocolate, or tea along with a lite breakfast. Or grab a coffee to enjoy in one of our Sunday School classes.
MORNING WORSHIP
10:30 AM
Enjoy Sunday service at a later time as our chancel choir leads us in worship immediately following the Sunday School hour.
